A new party girl persona for an iconic fashion brand

Dolls Kill, a fashion brand known for its unapologetic subversion of industry norms, sought to introduce a new character to their lineup of rebellious “Dolls.”

Challenge

Dolls Kill faced the challenge of:

 

  • Creating a new “Doll” character that embodied their brand’s rebellious spirit
  • Developing a campaign that resonated with their boundary-pushing audience
  • Capturing the essence of rave culture without explicit drug references
  • Crafting a memorable slogan to accompany the new character

Our goal was to develop a visually striking and conceptually provocative campaign for the new “Doll” that aligns with Dolls Kill’s subversive brand identity.

Unleashing Kandi’s Sweet Chaos

We conceptualized “Kandi,” a character embodying the wild spirit of rave culture. The campaign features:

 

  • A vibrant aesthetic of colors and candy, replacing recreational drugs with sweet treats
  • A padded cell setting, symbolizing the intensity of Kandi’s party addiction
  • The slogan “Can you hang with Kandi?” challenging the audience to embrace their inner party child

This campaign reinforces Dolls Kill’s position as a brand that celebrates uninhibited self-expression and pushes the boundaries of fashion and identity.
